Friday night, being the start of Spring Break, I came home. Had a "lovely" drive which took way too long thanks to traffic, and then I was finally at home.
Only to be met by a few surprises. Mom and Dad had had the floors in two rooms redone. The rooms look really good, but in the processs of moving things around to get the floors redone, my poor sewing room became the dumping ground of unwanted, large pieces of furniture.
Uh yeah, that did not make me too thrilled. To come home after two months with millions of sewing plans, only to find that you can't get much farther into the room than the door way....not something that would make any sewer happy.
my table was completely covered with random stuff. There was a rather large (and ugly) lazyboy sitting in front of the table taking up an ungodly amount of room...
there were big plastic bins at the closet door and in front of the bookshelf where I keep all my costuming books. Then in front of that, there was a huge, old TV and TV stand that was nigh impossible to get around...
and in this corner, our old toy box with more random articles pile ontop.
Thankfully, Dad and Mom were willing (and wanting on Mom's part) to get the room cleaned up and to get rid of all the unwanted bits of large furniture. We got everything moved out, now, my plan is to do some Spring Cleaning. I really need to wash the floors. And then there is always straightening things up and reorganizing. Then off to the happy land of sewing! :)
