I was doing some research the other day on children's costume, when I stumbled on the Wisconsin Historical Society. This website is full of tons of extant garments and the collection seems to focus on children's clothing.

Imagine my suprise when I found some slightly familiar dresses (well, at least for an American Girl fan :)


These dresses are exactly like some of the dresses the American Girl company used to sell. Maybe the company had some sort of agreement with the Historical Society?
